Ștefan Baghiu

Ștefan Baghiu is a lecturer in Romanian literature and literary theory at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu and editorial secretary of the journal Transilvania. His research focuses on the quantitative analysis of world literature, translation studies and the relationship between literature and ideology.

He is co-coordinator of the Digital Museum of the Romanian Novel (1845–1947), the first comprehensive digital archive dedicated to the modern Romanian novel.

He has edited and co-edited collective volumes including Ruralism and Literature in Romania (2019) and Beyond the Iron Curtain: Revisiting the Literary System of Communist Romania (2021), and has published in prestigious international journals such as Comparative Literature Studies, Central Europe, and Humanities and Social Sciences Communication.
